The Bale Mountains are mountain ranges in the Oromia Region of southeast Ethiopia, south of the Awash River, which is part of the Ethiopian Highlands. They include Tullu Demtu, the second-highest mountain in Ethiopia, and Mount Batu. The Weyib River, a tributary of the Jubba River, rises in these mountains east of Goba.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains
Early morning departure from Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains National Park.
Arrive at the park headquarters and enjoy an afternoon hike while spotting
endemic wildlife. Overnight camping.
Day 2 – Trek to Adelay
Start trekking from Dinsho to Adelay through Geysay Valley and the Web River,
passing the beautiful Web Waterfall. Overnight camping.
Day 3 – Trek to Wasama
Continue trekking through scenic landscapes toward Wasama, passing Mararo
Valley where Lammergeyer and Verreaux’s Eagles nest. Overnight camping.
Day 4 – Mt. Wasama and Worgona Valley
Hike up Mt. Wasama (4200m) and descend into Worgona Valley. Raptors, falcons,
and possibly the Ethiopian wolf can be seen. Overnight camping.
Day 5 – Sanetti Plateau
Trek from Gebre Gurracha to Sanetti Plateau and explore the area by vehicle.
This is one of the best places to see the Ethiopian wolf. Overnight camping.
Day 6 – Harenna Forest
Drive to the Harenna Forest, located in the southern part of the park,
known for its rich vegetation and unique wildlife. Overnight camping.
Day 7 – Return to Addis Ababa
Drive back to Addis Ababa with stops at the beautiful Rift Valley Lakes.
Enjoy dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant with cultural music
and dance before airport transfer.
